There's usually a crucial juncture on Saturdays after the morning class/sparring where I find myself home after showering staring at the couch or the door; the fate of the rest of the afternoon is at stake. Deciding to sit down on the couch can quickly escalate to full on lying down, with my feet propped neatly on a pillow, and all the cozy, creature comforts nestled nearby within arm distance. 😌

I came across a post that seemed to speak directly at me: “One day you will wake up & there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.” – Paulo Coelho

Jolting up out of my relaxed state, I was determined not to have another repeat of a lazy weekend hanging out with my good friend inertia--I promptly took to action. Well, not exactly promptly, I did take a seat for a bit to plan out my next move. I've been wanting to do some photography outdoors for a while. It seemed that the weather was on my side with the temperature being a warm high 60 degree day. One of the habits I've been working on is keeping things simple so I narrowed down my lens choices to just two: a 16mm APS-C and a Telephoto zoom 50-230 APS-C. To me, those focal lengths covered everything for my trip to The Mall.

Overall, it was a great day and I enjoyed being outdoors in the weather. Unfortunately, my battery wasn't fully charged so didn't get to maximize my photo time. Luckily I had my Osmo Pocket with me and was able to switch over to recording some footage and created this little video right here.
